The Great Taste Awards is a competition organized by the English Fine Food Guild, which is simply referred to as the Oscars of the food industry worldwide.

More than 12,300 products were nominated in countless categories – from dairy products to meat and wine varieties to chocolates and chilled delicacies – of which only a few delicacies were awarded stars.

The 500-person jury tasted the named products of each category for 62 days, until the circle of stars was formed.

According to the organizers, the Stars of Grate Taste and its logo is actually a signal to consumers everywhere in the world that outstanding quality and taste you buy a product. Although several Hungarian companies regularly perform well in the Great Taste competition, none of the Hungarian products has yet managed to win in the ice cream category.
